White Rose 2023

In October a team of 11 divers were representing Aberdeen in Leeds at the White Rose Diving Invitational.


Day one, Darcy placed 7th in the 3m platform event with a score of 128.75. In the boys group D event, Jayden placed 13th with a score of 240.35 and Adam came in 7th scoring 251.50. Darcy also placed 7th in the girls group D competition scoring 265.00.

Seventh was proving to be a popular place to be as Ellen also ranked here with 255.90 in the girls group B preliminary competition. Scott qualified for the final in 1st place with a fantastic score of 328.34 and went on to be named the group B boys champion with a score of 103.15.

Day two, saw Taylor and Eva competing in the group E prelims. Taylor placed 11th with a very respectable score of 257.60 and Eva dived her way into the finals in 5th scoring 282.05. Eva improved on her qualification ranking and came 4th in the final scoring 82.75, narrowly missing out on a medal by just 0.05!

With a score of 284.80, Nico found himself in 4th place in boys group C and went on to place 6th in the final scoring 81.0. Poppy, Maisy and Felicity did not disappoint in the group C girls category. Felicity ranked 24th with 260.65 scored, Maisy took 10th place with 284.70 and Poppy came 3rd and earned herself a place in the final with a score of 308.50. Poppy went on to absolutely smash it in the final and was victorious with a score of 99.40. Golden medallion for her!

All the divers should be proud of themselves for competing so well. It was a very uncomfortable journey with an early start on both days and a lot of waiting in an exceptionally hot pool environment. Well done everyone!
