The biggest congratulations to Noah Penman who has just returned from European Championships as a SILVER medalist in the men’s 3m competition 🇬🇧
After a long wait for his competition, Noah went into his 3m prelim feeling confident and relaxed to put in a good strong performance, no expectations, just a chance to compete against the best divers in Europe. He went above and beyond that to qualify for the final in 2nd place with a massive 46 point PB. We knew the step up from the prelim to the final would be massive, with many of these divers having competed at multiple World Cups/Champs and Olympic Games. Given this, the pressure was off and the aim was to put in a steady performance again and enjoy the whole experience of being in such a high calibre European final. He kept his cool, and after such a close event right up until the last round, he performed SENSATIONALLY, with an extra 23 points from his prelim score to come away with the SILVER medal, just 1.55 points away from gold.
Noah was one of the youngest divers in this event, competing against divers nearly double his age and divers who have competed in many Olympic Games. An achievement we will remember for a long time, his first senior international medal!!
Big thank you to everyone who has played a part in this journey, Dave his weights coach, and all the physios who have been on hand to help him be in the best place he can be. 2nd best diver in Europe has a good ring to it!! Well done Noah, everyone is so so proud of you 🫶🏻🎉
Now onto British Nationals next week, Junior Europeans in Greece and a senior international in Italy before he can get that well earned break!!!
