A huge congratulations to Noah Penman who recently travelled out to Rio, Brazil to compete as part of Great Britain at the 2024 Junior World Championships.
This event happens bi-annually and showcases the best junior divers in the whole of the world! Noah secured his spot on a very small team of 9 divers from his performances this year, most notably his 2nd place at the Junior Europeans in Poland this summer.
Noah was competing in the mixed team event, 1m springboard and platform competitions and put in some beautiful dives in each! These were exceptionally long competitions, with his 1m prelim being over 5 hours long. This takes an incredible amount of physical and mental strength to compete for this long, something that can’t be prepared for in training.
To be selected for this event is a MASSIVE achievement in itself and Noah qualified for both WORLD FINALS on 1m and platform. He finished 8th on 1m, and an outstanding 6th place on platform after only being back on 10m for a few months!
